Add Rows in Modeled Sheets

Add Rows in Modeled Sheets

  • Identity your sheet as a modeled sheet. See Concept: Sheet Types.
  • To add rows on a version scenario, create a scenario version in
    Model Management
    .
  • Ensure that you have access to any versions or scenario versions where you want to change data.
  • Security:
    • Editable Sheet Access
      permission.
    • To create dimension values directly on the sheet for new rows, configure access to the
      Edit Dimension on Sheet
      permission.
On modeled sheets, you can add new rows to include new records.
Disabled for modeled sheets managed by the workforce planning configuration manager.
If you delete the row, you also delete all audit trail data associated with the row.
  1. (Optional) To propose changes to the base data using a scenario version, from the version prompt, select the base version to expand it.
  2. (Optional) Select the scenario version that’s nested inside the base version.
  3. To add a row, use any of these methods:
    • Select
      Add Row
      on the toolbar.
    • Right-click anywhere on the sheet and select
      Add Row
      .
    • Right-click anywhere on the sheet and select
      Copy Row
. We add the new row at the bottom of the sheet.
    • Highlight multiple cells across rows, right-click on the highlighted area, and select
      Add x Rows
      or
      Copy x Rows
. We add the same number of blank new rows or copied rows at the bottom of the sheet.
After you save, check your sheet filters to ensure that you can view the new rows and data.
This example illustrates how to use attributes and dimensions together for faster data entry in a modeled sheet. Group is an attribute of the Product dimension with these values:
Product
Group
  • Tank Tops
  • Blouses
  • Sweaters
  • T-Shirts
  • Jeans
  • Leggings
  • Skirts
  • Purses
  • Belts
  • Gloves
  • Hats
  • Tops
  • Bottoms
  • Accessories
  • To narrow the Product dimension list, in the
    Group
column, click in any unlocked cell and select
    Tops
. The shorter product list now only includes:
    • T-shirts
    • Tank Tops
    • Blouses
    • Sweaters
  • To populate the
    Product
column, click in any unlocked cell in the column and select
    Tank Tops
    . The
    Group
    column automatically populates with
    Tops
    .
Add data on each unlocked cell of your new rows.
