Steps: Configure the Offer Business Process
- Configure theOfferbusiness process security policy.
- Security:Security Configurationdomain in the System functional area.
You can configure the
Offer
business process to:- Set a compensation basis.
- Request and get approval for stock grants or one-time payment plans, and add them to compensation packages.
- Get candidate endorsements from workers.
- Generate, send, and receive electronically signed documents.
- Renegotiate offers.
- Enable candidates to update their government IDs and personal information.
- Enable you to attach extra documents that you can send to candidates together with other generated documents.
You can also configure Workday to unpost jobs automatically once you've made an offer to a
candidate.
- Edit theOfferbusiness process definition.Add 1 or more of these business processes as steps:
- Propose Compensation Offer/Employment Agreement.
- Request One-Time Payment Offer/Employment Agreement.
- Request Stock Grant Offer/Employment Agreement.
Configure theMake Offer Decisionstep as the completion step. - (Optional) Access theView Business Process Templatereport.From the related actions menu of the Offer business process type, select to combine these compensation components into a single task:
- Propose Compensation Offer/Employment Agreement
- Request One-Time Payment Offer/Employment Agreement
- Request Stock Grant Offer/Employment Agreement

- (Optional) Configure Generated Documents.Add aGenerate Documentstep to create an offer letter. You can create templates for offer letters using theCreate Documenttask or Workday Docs. When you configure this step, you must select aDefault Documentfrom the Workday-delivered Offer category.To view offer documents, users must be:
- Assigned to theReview Documentsstep.
- Assigned as theRun as Useron theReview Documentstep. You can only select users who are assigned to a user-based security group.
- Secured to theCandidate Offer Detailsdomain and belong to a document category security segment with access to the Workday-delivered Offer Letter and Offers document categories.
- (Optional) Add theAdd Documentsstep to enable you to attach extra documents that you can send to selected candidates. Example: Code of Conduct.Define a security group for theAdd Documentsstep. Example: Recruiter.
- Edit yourConfigure Document Reviewon theReview Documentsstep to include the documents from theAdd Documentsstep.
- (Optional) Add aReview Documentsstep to request candidates to view and electronically sign the offer letter.To ensure that candidates receive their offer letters, Workday recommends that you enable candidate email verification on theEdit Tenant Setup - Recruitingtask.
- (Optional) Select from the related actions menu of theOfferbusiness process.Enable document attachments forInitiationandActionsteps when sending offer for approval internally. In theAttachment Setting in BP Toolbarsection:
- SelectEnable Attachments.
- Select which security groups have permission to view and edit attachments.

To regenerate an accepted offer document, configure the
Regenerate Offer
Documents
business process and access the Regenerate Offer
Documents
task.
