Example: Create Career Dashboard for Non-Workers

This example illustrates how to create a custom dashboard for a group of non-workers to provide them access to internal job postings on the Workday browser application.

You want to create a custom dashboard for students to provide them with quick access to a custom

Find Jobs for Students

report that was previously accessible on the

Career

worklet. You can make this custom dashboard a required worklet on the Home page for students to make it more accessible.

Create a custom

Find Jobs for Students

report for students.

Security: The Set Up: Tenant Setup - Worklets
domain in the System functional area.

Access the

Create Custom Dashboard

task.

In the

Dashboard

prompt, enter Student Careers
.

Click

Enter these values:

Field	Enter
Domains	Business Process Administration Internal Careers Security Administration User-Based Security Group Administration
Description	A career dashboard for students to search for and apply to job opportunities.
Dashboard Icon	Career

Click

From the related actions menu of the Student Careers dashboard, select

Dashboard

Edit

Click

Add

Enter Careers
in the

Tab Name

field.

Click the

section to expand it.

In the

Menu Sections

grid, add a row to add a new section. and enter these values:

Section Label	+	Item
Find Jobs	Click +	From the Custom Report prompt, select: Find Jobs for Student

Click

Done

On the

Maintain Dashboards

task, click the

Dashboard

column and enter Home
.

Click

Filter

Click

Edit

Click the

Worklets

section on the

Content

tab.

In the

Dashboards/Worklets

grid, add a row and enter these values:

Worklet	Required for Groups	Required
Student Careers	All Students	Select the check box.

Click

Done
