Configure Unified Supplier Integration for Customers Migrating off the Legacy Supplier Connector

  • Run the legacy supplier connector and resolve any existing errors with your tenant or supplier data. Contacts must be active on the Workday supplier contact record before you enable the new integration.
  • Configure both these authentication methods
  • Ensure that the
    Default Payment Type
    ,
    Payment Type
    , and
    Supplier Category
    fields are included on the supplier onboarding form in Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS).
  • Enable OAuth 2.0 Clients within Edit Tenant Setup - Security
  • Configure the
    Manage: Supplier Synchronization
    domain to grant access to the
    Supplier Synchronization Errors
    task.
  • Security:
    Set Up Supplier
    domain in the supplier functional area to have access to the Configure Unified Supplier Integration task.
You can configure the Unified Supplier Integration (USI) to synchronize supplier attributes between Workday and Workday Strategic Sourcing (WSS) in real time. This integration defines how supplier data is shared and maintained across both systems.
  1. Access the
    Configure Unified Supplier Integration task
    .
  2. On the
    Opt In
    tab, review the acknowledgement and select the
    Confirm
    check box.
  3. Click
    Next
    .
  4. On the
    Manage API Client
    tab, click
    Refresh
    to verify the synchronization with WSS.
  5. In the
    Configure Synchronization Criteria
    section, select the supplier attributes you want to synchronize with WSS.
  6. Set up the notification occurrence for the
    Supplier Synchronization Error
    task.
  7. Click
    Confirm
  8. Click
    Next
    .
  9. Review the details in the
    Review
    step.
  10. Click
    OK
    .
  11. (Optional) If you use segmented supplier security, configure security for the integration.
    1. Add the new ISU to the
      Spend API Client Configuration
      security group.
    Add the Spend API Client Configuration security group to these domains:
    • Integration Event
    • Reports: Supplier
    • Set Up: Currencies
    • Set Up: Settlement
    • Set Up: Supplier
    • Set Up: Supplier Accounts
    • Set Up: Supplier Categories
    • Set Up: Supplier Contacts
    • Set Up: Supplier Maintenance
    • View: Supplier
    • Workday Graph API Applications
If Workday fails to create the API client, access the
Configure Unified Supplier Integration
task again. In the
Manage API Client
section, select the
Regenerate Credentials
check box and click
Next
.
