FAQ: What Happens When a Survey Round Closes?

FAQ: What Happens When a Survey Round Closes?

The survey round closes at 23:59 UTC on the date of the survey close. Shortly after, around 02:00 UTC, the dashboard recalculates and displays:
  • Recommended focus areas.
  • Drivers that are performing well.
  • Comment topics.
After the close date, there is a two week period called the soft close, where employees can still answer the survey. The soft close enables employees who've been away from work to participate.
Survey data from the soft close period doesn't influence the calculation of focus areas, strengths, and topics, until the dashboard recalculates at the end of the next survey round.
This is provides a period of stability when action planning based on the round close insights may already be well underway.
Given the small percentage of people who answer after the close date, there is very little chance the recommended focus areas would change. You may see small changes in the average scores for drivers and segments, because of late submissions. Also, new comments may appear.
Users with access to manage survey schedules can Manually Hard Close a Survey Round, if needed.
