Set Up Onboarding Surveys

You can set up Onboarding questions by either using question timings or using a target for specific Tenure segments.
We recommend using rule-based questions (question timings) when surveying leavers. Manual mode and the algorithm are also possible, but comes with drawbacks. The algorithm can result in exited employees receiving multiple or repeat questions, while manual mode creates a high overhead to track and manage exited employees in surveys.
You can only configure the question timings (rule based questions) for the Onboarding question set when using a weekly survey schedule. When you set up the question timing, Peakon automatically adds suggested optimal timings for each question. However, you can customize the timings to fit your organization’s processes.
  1. Configure Onboarding and Exit questions question sets:
    1. Navigate to
      Administration
      Question Library
      .
    2. Select
      Onboarding
      .
    3. Click
      Configure
      .
    4. Toggle on the questions to use in your surveys.
  2. Activate the Onboarding question set on a specific survey:
    1. Navigate to
      Administration
      Schedule
      .
    2. Add a new schedule or
      View
       an existing schedule.
    3. Select the
      Frequency
       tab.
    4. Click on the
      Onboarding
       question set.
    5. Select your preferred frequency options.
    6. Save changes
      .
  3. Set Up Question Timing:
    1. Go to
      Administration
      Questions
      .
    2. Choose the
      Onboarding
       question set.
    3. Select
      Add question timing
      .
    4. Select
      Add question timing
       again to confirm your choices.
    5. (Optional) Select
      Edit question timing
       beside a question to edit a specific timing.
    6. (Optional)
      Update
      .
You have now set up the Onboarding questions. Onboarding survey insights are available on Question and Driver scores and the Heat Map.
