May 2024 Release Notes
Semantic Topics Themes
With this release, we add 10 manager impact focused themes to the semantic topics functionality, using machine learning to identify the meaning behind comments and group them into topics.
Usage Metrics
With this release, we update the look and functionality of the usage metrics report, improving the administrator experience when gathering insights on manager activity.
We will release this update gradually during the entire month of May.
New Functionality Title | New Functionality |
|---|---|
User interface enhancements | We make these visual updates to the usage metrics report:
|
Comment interactions metrics | The comment interactions report now displays the relative percentage of comment interactions from each manager's available comments and comment interactions by NPS distribution. This update enables administrators to better understand the interaction rate and pattern, filtered by the manager's all reports or direct reports segments. It's also possible to display the percentages as numbers instead. Unlike the rest of the usage metrics report, the comment interactions metrics now displays metrics based on each manager's segment, including interactions from other managers have made. Example: The CEO's All reports segment displays interactions from other managers in teams that are in the CEO's hierarchy. |
Access control permissions | We move the usage metrics permission from the Administer section to the Access Statistics section in Access Control groups, because the new release also makes the report relevant for managers and senior leaders. |
Phone Numbers in Workday Peakon Sync
We now accept null values in custom overrides for phone numbers. This enables users to remove phone numbers, no longer reverting to standard mapping when the phone number value returns as null.
Peakon Benchmarks
We update industry benchmarks on Workday Peakon Employee Voice with the most recent data from 2024 Q1.
Swedish Translations of Peakon Questions
We revert the Swedish translation of the question "Employee health and wellbeing is a priority at %s" from "Hälsa och välbefinnande har högsta prioritet på %s." to "Medarbetarnas hälsa och välbefinnande är mycket viktigt för %s." The previous translation is an error from a previous update.
Manager Proxy Views for Administrators
With this update, administrators can now view any manager dashboard from the manager's point of view, enabling them to better answer questions and troubleshoot potential problems raised by managers.
We add the Proxy view setting in the context switcher for global administrator users. In Proxy view dashboards, we display the Switch view and Close proxy view settings in a fixed top header, enabling administrators to switch to another manager or back to their own dashboard.
Test Survey Self Service
We introduce the 'Mark as test' button in the Schedules Activity tab when expanding a survey round, providing the ability to change regular survey rounds to test surveys and move survey responses to the test data dashboard.
Example: You planned to delay a recurring survey, however you forgot to update it on time and it has launched on its due date. By retroactively marking it as a test round, you can clear that survey round's responses from your dashboard.
Test rounds now additionally have the 'Mark as regular' button when expanding the survey round in the Schedules Activity tab.
Segment Management Self-Service
We introduce the ability to bulk delete all manually set managers from the segments of option, employee, and combination type attributes. Example: You've manually assigned a large number of office locations to managers and now you need to remove this access as your company has changed its strategy. You can now bulk remove these segments from manager access in fewer clicks.
Focus Areas and Actions in Personal Dashboards
Team focus areas and actions now display in separate tabs, enabling employees to easily see what their managers are working on and whether their confidential suggestions have become manager actions. Focus areas that contain a custom note from the manager display as expanded, encouraging employees to provide suggestions. Employees can expand any focus areas and add suggestions, as long as they became focus areas after the team suggestions release.
Employees with the 'Data for teams above direct manager' permission can now also access their leadership's actions and focus areas on the same page as those of their direct manager, no longer requiring employees to go into manager dashboard driver pages to access this information.
We release this update currently only in English (UK), with translations to follow during the first weeks of June.
Question Configuration Self-Service
New Functionality Title | New Functionality |
|---|---|
Move Custom Questions | We introduce a Question Set and Driver drop down menu in the editing sidebar for custom questions across all driver question sets, enabling administrators to move custom questions. |
Edit Main Questions | It's now possible to configure the main question of each question set (Example: The main NPS question) directly in the user interface, without the help of a Workday consultant. You can now:
|
Peakon Survey Emails
We temporarily revert to the previous version of the survey email with clickable score links, due to reported issues from customers. Customers with illustrations turned off will now have immediate clickable links.
Integration Event Logs
We introduce the 'Auto-load' feature, enhancing event log monitoring across all HRIS integrations.
With this feature enabled, integration event logs receive automatic, real-time updates, ensuring they remain constantly accurate and relevant.
Administrators have the option to toggle this feature on or off directly from the user interface.
Workday Integration Sync Performance
We reduce the full sync completion time for the Workday integration. This improvement enhances efficiency while maintaining complete data integrity.
