Set Up Okta Integration

access in Peakon.The integration supports these features:
Create Users
, Update User Attributes
, and Deactivate Users
.The integration syncs these Okta attributes to Peakon:
Email
, First name
, Last name
, Employee number
, Locale
, and Time zone
.It's also possible to configure your integration to sync additional attributes (Example: Custom attributes). You must add and map each additional attribute separately.
The integration doesn't support group-related provisioning features.
- Enable employee provisioning in Peakon.
- In Peakon, go to .
- ClickConnect.The page will now display employee provisioning configuration fields. You will reference information from this page in step 3.
- Add the Peakon app to your managed SaaS apps in Okta.
- In Okta, go to your applications and search for Peakon.
- Add the Peakon application to your Okta instance.
- Configure the Peakon app in Okta.
- On the Peakon app in Okta, go to theProvisioningtab and clickConfigure API Integration.
- Tick theEnable API integrationbox.
- Enter the values from theOAuth Bearer Tokenfield in Peakon in theAPI tokenfield in Okta.
- ClickTest API credentialsto ensure that the connection is working.
- ClickSave.
- Activate the supported provisioning features in Okta.
- In Okta, selectTo Appin theSettingslist.
- ClickEdit.
- Enable theCreate Users,Update User AttributesandDeactivate Usersoptions.
- ClickSave.
- (Optional) Enable additional attributes in the sync. These steps use theDepartmentattribute as an example.
- Ensure that theDepartmentattribute already exists on Peakon.Okta doesn't support spaces in attribute names. If your attribute in Peakon contains more than 1 word, add an alias in the attribute's settings on Peakon with a special character replacing the space.Example: The alias for theEmployed Sinceattribute on Peakon could beEmployed_Since.
- On the Peakon app in Okta, clickAdd attributein theProvisioningtab.
- Enter these details in the below fields, setting your custom attribute name as theDisplay nameandVariable name.
- Display name:Department
- Variable name:department
- External namespace:urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:extension:peakon:2.0:User
- Scope:User personal
- ClickSaveto add the custom attribute to Okta.
- On the Peakon app in Okta, clickMap Attributes.
- Select theOkta to Peakonsync direction.
- Use theApply mapping on user create and updatesetting to map the Oktauser.departmentattribute to the Peakondepartmentattribute.
- ClickSave Mappings.
You can now assign users to the app, and they will automatically sync to Peakon.
