FAQ: Score Colors
This topic contains frequently asked questions about score colors on manager dashboards.
General Questions
- What do the primary display colors indicate?
- Primary display colors use dark gray and shades of green to indicate visual performance levels. Dark gray indicates lower performance needing attention, while brighter shades of green indicate higher performance. If a score is unavailable due to anonymity or data visibility rules, the display shows neutral gray.
- How do score color thresholds work for different score formats?
- Peakon calculates hero header score colors based on 1 of 3 formats configured for your organization:
- Mean score (0–10 scale): Scores below 6.0 display in dark gray, 6.0–6.9 in muted green, 7.0–8.4 in medium green, and 8.5 and above in strong green.
- Favorable score (percentage): Scores 50% or below display in dark gray, 51%–69% in muted green, 70%–79% in medium green, and 80% and above in strong green.
- NPS / eNPS (−100 to +100): Scores 0 or below display in dark gray, 1–30 in muted green, and 31 and above in strong green.
- What happens when I hover over a score?
- Hovering over a score displays the Net Promoter Score (NPS) distribution breakdown: green for promoters, gray for passives, and red for detractors.
- Do heatmap colors use the same color bands as the hero header score?
- No. Heatmap colors reflect the difference between a score and its benchmark, whereas hero header score colors indicate overall score performance bands.
