FAQ: Where Does My Benchmark Come From?
Company level results use external benchmarking by comparing scores against the average scores across Peakon's customer database. Companies can select whether to benchmark against all companies or only companies from a specific industry.
All segments within the company use internal benchmarking by comparing scores against the global company level scores. Example: If your segment's Recognition driver is 0.2 above benchmark, this means that your team has scored 0.2 higher than the company average for the Recognition driver.
For edge cases, it's possible for companies to configure a segment to benchmark against another specific segment or an industry. Example: If your company has multiple entities, your administrators can benchmark relevant segments to the entity segment's scores, rather than the global parent company's scores.
If your company uses True Benchmark, you can click the True Benchmark details to see what benchmark your dashboard is using. If your company doesn't use True Benchmark, your dashboard already states the benchmark source by design.
