Redline a Document

stage.You can use redlining to compare 2 contract versions. You can then create a
redline
, a third version of the contract that displays the text you added or removed as tracked changes. You can accept or reject these changes.This redline version is the same as the revised version, but it highlights all changes from the original as tracked changes that a reviewer can accept or reject.
You can’t edit PDF files directly in the document editor. You can use the Convert_to_Docx.png function in our document viewer to create a new .docx version. You can then edit the .docx version in our editor using the features outlined in this article.
You can only convert the latest version of your document. We generate a .docx file, and this file becomes the new version in your workflow ticket.
- ClickWorkflow.
- On theWorkflowtab, clickTickets.
- Select a ticket.
- Select a version of the document.You can review tracked changes in 1 document version or review a redline of changes between 2 document versions with these modes:
- Show All Markup
- Show Original Document
- Show Final Document
The current version is the most recent saved version. - From theCompare Toprompt, select a version of the document to compare and generate a redline.You can only compare .doc(x) files.
- ClickSave as a New Version.
- ClickUpload New Version.You can:
- Add notes.
- Attach a new document.
- Indicate when this is a counterparty document.
- Upload and generate redlines.
You can’t currently share a redline preview. To share a redline, you need to save it as a new version.When you can’t access theShare Current Versionoption, you need to click theCompare Toprompt and selectStop Comparing.
