Steps: Multiple Worksite Reporting (USA)
- Workday bases multiple worksites reporting on the location of your business site. Each location requires:
- ABusiness Site.
- An address with a state.
- ATrade Name. If your company doesn't require a trade name, you can enter any placeholder text to fulfill the requirement.
- AWorksite ID Code. The code must be unique for each location in each state. The codes can be the same for a location that multiple companies use. The character limit for the code is 21 alphanumeric characters.
- Workday gathers multiple worksite reporting data from payroll results, so you must process at least 1 payroll to view reports.
Workday enables you to:
- Create a worksite reporting integration using theBLS Electronic Data Reporting - MWRtemplate so you can generate a Multiple Worksite Report (MWR) file for delivery to the BLS.
- Provide the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) with the required quarterly reports on employees with multiple worksites.
- Comply with the BLS requirements to match the counts for unemployment. For employees with multiple jobs in multiple states, we report the state of the primary position.
Workday recommends that you regularly review these reports:
- Audit: Worksite Discrepancies for Companyto help identify discrepancies between current work state (based on the worker's primary work address) and worksite state (based on the business site) data. The state must match the one used for SUI wages on results. To correct discrepancies, you can verify the correct:
- Business site has been identified by accessing theEdit Locationreport.
- Address has been identified as the primary work address by accessing the worker'sContactinformation.
- Multiple Worksite Report by Companyto review quarterly wages by tax authority and the count of workers who are active for the 12th day of each month of the quarter.
- Multiple Worksite Report by Workerto review quarterly wages by worker and verify whether workers are active for the 12th day of each month of the quarter. TheTax Authoritycolumn displays the state Workday uses to calculate State Unemployment Insurance wages and withholdings. If the worker:
- Has an alternate work location, Workday uses this address to determine the work state.
- Doesn't have an alternate work location, Workday uses the business location to determine the work state.
- Set up a worksite reporting integration to generate an MWR file for the BLS.
- Launch theBLS Electronic Data Reporting - MWRintegration that you set up to create the quarterly MWR file and deliver it to the BLS.See Launch an Integration .
You can send the Multiple Worksite Report form to the BLS in the required format, rounded to the nearest USD.
