Set Up Decision Intelligence
To register and use agents in the Agent System of Record fully in your tenants, you must opt in to the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA). UMSA is required for non-Production and Production tenants for Workday-Built agents.
To determine your subscription service agreement:
- Select your profile avatar on Community.
- SelectProfile.
- On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
- View your Subscription Service Agreement value. If the value is MSA, you must opt in to the Universal Main Service Agreement (UMSA)
- Opt in to the Workday Flex Credits and Platform Entitlement Policy. This is only required for registering and using agents in your Production tenants.
- If you access Adaptive Planning directly from Workday, Set Up Agent System of Record and follow the steps in theStepssection below.
- For Adaptive Planning standalone instances, you must assign the Access Decision Intelligence permission to users for them to access Decision Intelligence.
Decision Intelligence is an AI-powered analytical workspace that integrates directly with your Adaptive Planning data to streamline financial analysis and scenario modeling. You can use DI to:
- Explore data from internal sources and external file uploads (CSV and Excel).
- Model what-if scenarios.
- Submit changes to Adaptive Planning using your existing security and approval chains.
If you access Adaptive Planning directly from Workday, you can register and configure DI in Workday’s Agent System of Record (ASOR). The ASOR provides a central management framework for securely managing and governing all your agents. By registering agents in this system, you can:
- Reduce administrative overhead.
- Gain data insights into agent performance and business impact.
- Access theAgent Management Hubreport.
- Select theUnregistered Workday Agenttab.
- ForDecision Intelligence, clickRegister.
- Select theConfirmcheck box, and then clickOKto complete the registration. Workday moves Decision Intelligence to theAgent Registrytab.
- Select theAgent Registrytab and then click on theDecision Intelligencename to configure it.
- From the profile view, clickConfigure Agent.
- In theStatuscolumn, enable these skills:
- Decision Intelligence - Standard
- Decision Intelligence - Advanced
- Decision Intelligence - Highly Advanced
- From theAvailable Toprompt, select the security groups that you want to be able to access the Decision Intelligence skills.Workday evaluates both user access to the agent and to the APIs the agent is executing as tools at runtime. Workday recommends that you evaluate alignment between the security groups in theAvailable Toprompt and the security groups that have permissions for the tools the agent might execute.
- ClickOK.
- From theAgent Registrytab, clickDecision Intelligenceand clickActivate Agent.
- Select theConfirmcheck box and then clickOK.
After you’ve set up DI, you can access it from the
Global Navigation
menu in Adaptive Planning.
