View Security for Agent Skills and Tools

View Security for Agent Skills and Tools

Security:
Manage: Agents
 domain in the Agent System of Record functional area.
You can use the
View Security for Agent Skill
 report to find the recommended, required, and optional security permissions for the skills and tools in your agent. If there are no recommended policies, the report displays all available policies. You can also test security access permissions to tools and skills for users through the
Test My Setup
 button in the report. As you test your setup, you can drill down to display all security policies and groups for a user that they can currently use to access the tool
  1. Access the
    View Security for Agent Skill
     report.
    As you access the report, consider:
    Option Description
    Registered Agent
    Enter the name of the agent to view its security.
    Agent Skills
    Enter the name of a skill in the agent to view its security.
  2. In the results of the
    View Security for Agent Skill
     report, consider:
    Option Description
    Tool Name
    The name of the tool.
    Tool Description
    The description of the tool.
    Functional Status
    The functional status of the tool for the security group that displays in the
    Available To
     field.
    Supports these values:
    • Full Match:
       The security group that displays in the
      Available To
       field has all the required security policies needed to access the tool.
      .
    • Review Required:
       The security group that displays in the
      Available To
       field only has some of the required security policies needed to access the tool. We recommend that you review the security permissions for the group.
    • Config Required:
       One or more required security policies have no security groups. Configure them first.
    • Not Evaluated:
       There's no group in the
      Available To
       field to evaluate for security access.
    Type
    The type of security policy for the tool.
    Required Permissions
    The permissions needed on the security policy to access the tool. Includes either View or Modify permissions.
    Recommended Security Policies
    The security policies that we recommend that you use to access the tool.
    Assigned Security Group
    The security groups assigned to the recommended security policies for accessing the tool.
    Additional Security (Optional)
    The optional security policies that enhance the end-user experience, such as providing field-level access, but aren't required for the tool to function.
    Test My Setup
    You can use this button to test the security setup of a security group to determine if they can access the tool.
  3. (Optional) Click
    Test My Setup
     to test and debug user access to a tool, as well as display alternate security policy pathways.
    Security: The
    Security Administration
     domain in the System functional area.
The security permissions for the skills and tools in your agent display in the report.
Test and configure the security setup for your agents using the report. Prioritize resolving
Config Required
 and
Review Required
 statuses. Use
Test My Setup
 to confirm that a user can access the tool. If users need additional access, review the
Additional Security (Optional)
 and related domain policies.
