Concept: Email Invitations to Sign In

VNDLY uses an email invitation with an activation link for new users to sign in to VNDLY for the first time. For security purposes, the activation link is only valid for the number of hours that a VNDLY Administrator enters in the

Sign Up Token Expiration (Hours)

field on the

Configuration

tab of the

Security Settings

page of

Company Settings

. When a user clicks the link in the invitation after the expiry period, they aren't able to log in. The VNDLY Administrator can resend the invitation to the user, and the activation link is valid for the same duration.

When a VNDLY Administrator creates the user profile, VNDLY automatically sends an email invitation to the user based on:

The method used to create the user profile.
The authentication type on the user profile.
VNDLY only sends an invitation to users who have
VNDLY Login
selected in the
Authentication
or
Authentication Type
field on their user profile.
