Configure Neutrality and Privacy Setting Rules

Configure Neutrality and Privacy Setting Rules

You must have the
neutrality_and_privacy_settings.write
permission.
Neutrality and Privacy Setting rules enable you to control when candidate fields and vendor names are hidden from specified user roles during the sourcing workflow to avoid unintentional user bias.
  1. From the header, select
    More
    Company Settings
    .
  2. Under
    Security
    , select
    Neutrality and Privacy Settings
    .
  3. Click
    Create
    .
  4. As you create a rule, consider:
    Option Description
    Rule Name
Enter a distinct, descriptive title for the rule.
    Security Roles
Select the specific roles to which the data restriction will apply.
    Criteria
Controls the stages of the workflow where the masking or neutrality applies. All criteria configured within a single rule must be met for the rule to apply.
Enable Candidate Data Masking During Sourcing
When enabled, the fields selected in the
    Data Fields to Mask
field are hidden from all client user roles.
    Data Fields to Mask
Select which candidate information should be hidden during the sourcing process.
    Enable Vendor Neutrality
When enabled, vendor names are hidden from all client users throughout the application
  5. Click
    Save
    .
VNDLY removes the permission from the primary security role and creates a child role. The child role is assigned the removed permission and is configured to only apply when conditions outside the Neutrality and Privacy Settings rule definition are met.
I can build a rule to hide the
Candidate Name
and
Vendor Name
for all my hiring managers for all jobs in the USA until the candidate is in
Ready to Onboard
status. I would use these configurations:
  • Security Roles
    :
    Hiring Manager
    .
  • Criteria
    • Countries
      :
      United States of America
    • Application Status
      :
      Applied
      ,
      Interviewing
      ,
      Offer Released
      ,
      Offer Approval Pending
      ,
      Verification in Progress
  • Enable Candidate Data Masking During Sourcing
    :
    Enabled
  • Data Fields to Mask
    :
    Name
This ensures that a hiring manager looking at applicants for a job int he USA would not see the
Candidate Name
or
Vendor Name
until candidates reach the
Ready to Onboard
status. For any other job not in the USA, they would see the candidate and vendor name at all points in the sourcing flow as normal.
