Add a Request for Proposal
You can create a new request for proposal (RFP) to send to vendors for bidding.
- From the header, select .
- ClickNew RFP.
- Complete the required fields to fill out basic information for the RFP.
- ClickSave.
- SelectAdd Requirementsfrom theNext Stepssection.
- ClickAdd a New Section. As you complete the section, consider:
Option Description Knockout RequirementWhen selected, the requirement is included in the knockout criteria of the RFP.Add Another RequirementInclude another requirement within this section.Mark as ConfidentialWhen selected, all responses in this section are visible only to RFP managers.Response RequiredWhen selected, the vendor must respond to all requirements in the section. - SelectAdd Vendorsfrom theNext Stepssection on theOverviewtab.
- Select the vendors who can bid on the RFP.
- ClickSave.
- (Optional) Add and review documents.
- (Optional) Review the Vendor RFP experience.See Request for Proposal – Vendor Guide.
- ClickSend to Vendorsfrom theNext Stepssection.You can't unsend the RFP to vendors.
Workday VNDLY changes the RFP status to
Sourcing
and sends an invite notification to each vendor. You can see whether the vendors accept or reject the invitation in the Vendors
section.The RFP will remain in
Sourcing
status until either:- TheVendor Proposals Duedate.
- All vendors who RSVP-ed yes have submitted their proposal.
