Publish a Job

Published jobs include job information, compensation, and requirements for open positions. VNDLY provides you with configurable workflows and customizable options so that job posts reflect your unique business needs.
  1. Navigate to the
    Jobs
    page.
    Depending on your permissions, you can access this page directly from the VNDLY header or in the
    Jobs
    Jobs
    drop-down menu.
  2. Click
    Publish Job
    .
  3. Select a job template to start from. Consider:
    Option Description
    Templates
    • Search templates by job title or select from a list of all available jobs.
    • Use
      Filter by Location
      to only show jobs that are eligible in the specified job location.
    • Select
      Show Only Popular Jobs
      to filter the list of jobs. Your organization determines popular jobs based on the number of requisitions.
    Recent Jobs
    • Search templates by job title or select from a list of recently used jobs.
    • Your organization determines recent jobs based on recently used requisitions.
  4. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Organization Unit
    The specific area of the business the job belongs to.
    Consider:
    • Approval Workflows: VNDLY uses the selected organization. unit to determine which workflow approval rules apply to the job.
    • Visibility and Security Access: The organization unit dictates which users have access to view and manage the job.
    • Resource Manager Selection: Depending on the
      Job Form
      configurations, the resource managers available for selection may be limited by the selected organization unit.
    • Integrations: For Workday-integrated tenants, the organization unit dictates the staffing model applied to the job and the resulting work orders.
    Hiring Type
    Select:
    • Contractor
      when the job is for a contingent worker.
    • Direct Hire
      when the job is for a permanent, full-time employee.
    Pay Type
    Determines the compensation structure for the job.
    The selected pay type determines which
    Formula Groups
    are available for selection.
    If you select
    Monthly
    , the
    Standard Hours Per Day
    field is required.
    For a direct hire, VNDLY calculates the annualized salary range when you select the
    Hourly
    option and enter values for:
    • Min
    • Max
    • Standard Hours Per Week
    You confirm direct hire pay at the offer stage.
    Program Rate Type
    The foundational financial model for the job, specifically whether it operates as a bill rate or pay rate based assignment. This determines which rate fields are collected as inputs and which are calculated by the system.
    Users must have the
    job.program_rate_type.edit
    permission to edit this field.
    Formula Groups
    The container that links the specific calculation logic to the job, controlling how billable amounts are computed at invoicing.
    Add New Documents
    Add necessary attachments.
  5. Click
    Submit
    .
  6. This screen only displays if checklists have been configured. See: Add a New Checklist
  7. This screen only displays if the
    Enable Pre-Identified Job
    checkbox is checked.
  8. Select Additional Vendors for Distribution.
    Users with the
    job.vendor.sourced.manage
    permission.
  9. (Optional) Add Job Approvals.
This example illustrates how you can publish a job for a direct hire with custom payment terms. The vendor will be paid 25% of the candidate salary in week 1 and 75% in week 5.
