Concept: Agency of Record and Employer of Record

Concept: Agency of Record and Employer of Record

The Agency of Record (AOR) and Employer of Record (EOR) module is the only system functionality that permits candidate records to exist independently of a vendor association. It serves to validate whether a candidate should be classified as a W2 employee, a 1099 worker, or an Independent Contractor.
Agency of Record: A vendor responsible for managing Independent Contractors (ICs) engaged on a 1099 or Corp-to-Corp basis.
Employer of Record: A vendor that manages worker payroll and is qualified to issue W2 forms.
To onboard a candidate through this module, you must gather specific candidate details to make an informed qualifying decision, ultimately classifying them as either W2 (EOR) or 1099 (IC/AOR). You can configure the Pre-Identified Candidate Intake Request Form to include additional questions, ensuring you have all the information necessary. Depending on your selections, the candidate profile can be completed by the contractor themselves or the vendor at a later time.
