Steps: Set Up Program of Study Status Reasons

You can set up reasons to accompany a student's program of study status changes. Workday supports multiple institutions partitioning, enabling you to manage program of study status reasons by institution. Configure your own or the Workday-delivered reasons for these statuses:

Discontinued

Dismissed

Institutional Withdrawal

Leave of Absence

Suspended

For tenants with multiple institutions, you can only select the institutions associated with the academic units to which you have access. If you're a single-institution or have access to only 1 institution, we bypass the

Institution

field.

For multiple institutions, the program of study status reason is only available for the institution you configured it for.

Depending on your configuration, you and your students can select a reason when the student's program of study status changes.

Workday displays the reason on the

Overview

report on the Academics profile group of the student profile.

To edit a reason you created, access the

Edit Student Program of Study Record Status Reason

task.

To change a program of study status reason for a student, access the

Edit Programs of Study for Student

task.
