Manage Program Completion Applications

You can review applications for program completion and approve them, deny them, or defer their evaluations.
This topic describes how to mass update program completion applications. To update a single application, access the
Update Program Completion Status for Student
task.
Students can update existing program completion applications using the
Edit My Program Completion Application
task. When a student edits an application, they can change
Anticipated Academic Period for Completion
to reflect an updated completion timeline.
As you complete the task, consider:

Anticipated Academic Period for Completion
Select the standard academic period in which the student anticipates completing their program. Workday displays standard academic periods based on your program completion application policy configuration. See Steps: Set Up Program Completion.
When a student submits the updated application, Workday saves the new
Anticipated Academic Period for Completion
on the program completion application. Workday also updates the
Expected Completion Date
on the student's program of study record.
You can review the updated values on the
Manage Program Completion
report. Include the
Anticipated Academic Period for Completion
in your report definition to monitor student-submitted changes.
Administrators can also update program completion applications using the
Edit Program Completion Application for Student
task. See Apply Students for Program Completion.
  1. Access the
    Manage Program Completion
    report.
  2. Filter for the applications to review and update.
    Example: To review program completion applications, select
    Applied for Completion
    in the
    Program Completion Statuses
    prompt.
  3. Review and select the applications to process.
    Select applications to update to the same status. You can only perform 1 type of status change at a time. Example: Select only the applications to approve. To deny applications, run this task again and select only the applications to deny.
  4. Click
    Mass Update Program Completion Status
    .
  5. In the
    New Program Completion Status
    prompt, select the new status.
  6. Select the
    Confirm
    check box.
Workday might take up to an hour to update the statuses of the selected applications.
Confer program completions.
