Example: Create a Student Journey

This example illustrates how to use the Journeys Workspace to create a Student Journey.
You've identified students that are at risk of being put on academic probation and you want to help them figure out how to get back on track. As an administrator, you want to create a custom Student Journey that will guide students through the steps required to get back into good standing and ensure they succeed.
Security:
Set Up: Journey Administration
domain in the Journeys functional area.
  1. Access the
    Journeys Workspace
    report.
  2. Select
    Create Journey
    .
  3. Select
    Build your Journey
    to start a blank student journey.
  4. Enter these values:
    Option Description
    Field
    Entry
    Journey Name
    At Risk Students
    Journey Description
    This journey helps students get back on track.
    Recipient Type
    Student
    Journey Category
    Create Journey Category
    Journey Category Name
    Getting Back on Track
    Journey Category Description
    This journey helps you get back on track to avoid academic probation.
    Journey Category Type
    Campus Resources and Support
  5. Click
    Create
    .
  6. Click on the
    Untitled Journey
    header and add a
    Journey Name
    :
    Getting Back on Track
    .
  7. Click on the
    Welcome to Your Journey
    welcome card and enter these values:
    • Welcome Card Title
      :
      Welcome to Your Journey to Getting Back on Track
    • Welcome Card Message
      :
      You’ve been identified as an at-risk student for academic probation. These steps have been curated to help guide you back on track academically.
  8. Select a
    Step Group.
  9. Enter the
    Step Group Name
    :
    See Where You Stand
    .
  10. Drag and drop an
    Article
    step into the
    Step Group
    as a required step.
  11. Select the
    Academic Policies & Guidelines
    article.
  12. Drag and drop 2
    Task
    steps into the
    Step Group
    as required steps and configure these fields:

    Task and Step Title
    Due Date
    View My Academic Plan
    • Event
      :
      Journey Received Date/Time
    • Due in relation to event
      :
      1 week after
    Request Student Appointment
    • Event

      Journey Received Date/Time
