Steps: Designate International Students

Steps: Designate International Students

You can define the criteria for an international student in your institution when the student:
  • Has a Citizenship Status for a country other than the United States.
  • Doesn’t have a Citizenship Status for the United States.
The default country for citizenship in Workday is the United States. If your institution is outside the United States, you can create your own condition rules to define what constitutes an international student.
  1. Configure the
    Manage: Immigration Status
domain in the Student Core functional area.
The domain enables you to view the International profile group of a student's profile.
    See Edit Domain Security Policies.
  2. Access the
    Create Student Condition Rule
    task.
Create condition rules for designating international students.
Security: Set Up: Student Eligibility Rules in the Academic Advising functional area.
  3. Access the
    Configure International Student Logic
    task.
    Select or create condition rules.
Select an effective date for each rule. The
    Effective Date
controls which version of the condition rule is available on a given date.
