Test Student Calculations

Security:

You can test custom and Workday-defined calculations to ensure that they're working properly before implementing them.
You can't use the
Evaluate Student Calculation
report to test:
  • Calculations that reference the
    Registration-Based Fees
    report field.
  • Federal Direct Loan calculations.
  • Calculations that reference simple lookup tables.
  • Calculations that are in ineligible categories.
  • Step-based calculations.
  • Calculations that evaluate student applicants.
  1. Access the
    View [calculation type] Calculation
    report.
  2. From the related actions menu of the calculation, select
    Calculation
    Evaluate Student Calculation
    .
    Calculations in these categories are eligible for evaluation:
    • Admissions
    • Common
    • Student
    • Student Residency Evaluation
  3. Specify required data for the calculation, such as the relevant student, financial aid period record, or student application.
    The required data varies depending on the needs of the particular calculation that you're testing.
The report displays the results of the calculation based on the variables that you specified. You can expand the calculation results to view each step that the calculation took to arrive at the result.
