Reference: Prospect Stages

A prospect's stage identifies their current stage of matriculation:
Stage
Description
Lead
You identified the prospect, such as through a search service or marketing activity.
Inquirer
The prospect has shown interest in your institution by attending a recruiting event, inquiring through your website, or taking some other action.
Pre-Applicant
The prospect received application materials or is in the process of applying. Prospects who submitted test scores, transcripts, or a financial aid application.
Applicant
Workday assigns this value when the prospect submits an application for admission. You can automatically advance a prospect's stage if they’re earlier than a stage of Applicant using the
Maintain Student Prospect Stage Progression Rules
task.
Pre-Matriculant
Workday assigns this value when you record the prospect's acceptance of your offer of admission (through a selective admissions process).
Student
Workday assigns this value during the:
  • Fast Path matriculation process.
  • Selective admissions process, if your
    Student Application Pre-Matriculation Event
    business process includes a step for the
    Advance Student Stage
    service.
