Inactivate ISIR Transactions

Inactivate ISIR Transactions

Security:
Manage: Financial Aid Data Loads
domain in the Financial Aid functional area.
Workday uses the FAFSA universally unique identifier (UUID) of an ISIR transaction to associate it with a student. If Workday associates an ISIR transaction to a student incorrectly, you can inactivate the transaction and remove the FAFSA UUID. This prevents Workday from:
  • Associating incoming ISIR transactions with the incorrect FAFSA UUID to the student.
  • Using the transaction in financial aid processing.
When there's a FAFSA UUID associated with them, you can inactivate:
  • Transactions with any status, if the student only has 1 transaction for an award year.
  • Transactions with these statuses, if the student has multiple transactions for an award year:
    • Inactive
    • Pending Review
For ISIRs before the 2024-2025 financial aid award year, Workday uses the SAR ID of an ISIR transaction to associate it with an existing student or applicant. You can use this task to inactivate an ISIR transaction and remove the SAR ID.
  1. Access the
    ISIR
report on the Financial Aid profile group of the student profile.
  2. From the related actions menu of the transaction, select
    ISIR Transaction
Inactivate ISIR and Remove SAR ID
    .
  3. Select the
    Confirm
    check box.
Workday:
  • Deletes the FAFSA UUID or SAR ID from the transaction.
  • No longer associates incoming ISIR transactions with that FAFSA UUID or SAR ID to the student.
(Optional) Manually remove awards from the
Total Financial Assistance
report on the Financial Aid profile group of the student's profile. When the student has any cost items, you can remove them with the
Edit Cost of Attendance
task.
