Map Strategic Sourcing Roles in User Provisioning Workspace

You can map Workday security groups to Strategic Sourcing roles to automate user access management through User Provisioning Workspace (UPW).
  1. Access the
    User Provisioning Workspace
    task.
  2. On the
    Strategic Sourcing
    tab click
    Configure
    .
  3. On the
    Product Details
    section, click the
    Configuration
    tab.
    If this is your initial configuration, click
    Create Provisioning Group
    instead.
  4. Click
    Edit Provisioning Group
    .
  5. Select unconstrained user-based or role-based security groups to enable access to the provisioned product.
  6. Add a row to the
    Role-Group Mappings
    grid.
  7. Complete the row:
    1. From the
      Role
      prompt, select an available WSS role.
    2. From the
      Security Group
      prompt, select the security groups you designated in step 5.
  8. Click
    Update Provisioning Group
    .
  9. Click
    Preview and Enable Sync
    .
  10. On the
    Preview
    report of provisioning updates, select the
    I understand that enabling sync may have irreversible impacts
    check box.
  11. Click
    Enable Sync
    .
When users sign in to Strategic Sourcing, they receive immediate and correct permissions. If multiple roles are assigned to a single user, Workday automatically grants the highest level of privilege. Workday also locks the roles for users provisioned through UPW to prevent manual modifications within
Strategic Sourcing User List
settings.
