Map Strategic Sourcing Roles in User Provisioning Workspace
You can map Workday security groups to Strategic Sourcing roles to automate user access management through User Provisioning Workspace (UPW).
- Access theUser Provisioning Workspacetask.
- On theStrategic Sourcingtab clickConfigure.
- On theProduct Detailssection, click theConfigurationtab.If this is your initial configuration, clickCreate Provisioning Groupinstead.
- ClickEdit Provisioning Group.
- Select unconstrained user-based or role-based security groups to enable access to the provisioned product.
- Add a row to theRole-Group Mappingsgrid.
- Complete the row:
- From theRoleprompt, select an available WSS role.
- From theSecurity Groupprompt, select the security groups you designated in step 5.
- ClickUpdate Provisioning Group.
- ClickPreview and Enable Sync.
- On thePreviewreport of provisioning updates, select theI understand that enabling sync may have irreversible impactscheck box.
- ClickEnable Sync.
When users sign in to Strategic Sourcing, they receive immediate and correct permissions. If multiple roles are assigned to a single user, Workday automatically grants the highest level of privilege. Workday also locks the roles for users provisioned through UPW to prevent manual modifications within
Strategic Sourcing User List
settings.
