Create Supplier Remit-To Connections
Configure the
Remit-To Supplier Connection Event
business process and security policy in the Suppliers functional area.You can create supplier connections to remit invoices and payments to different supplier addresses, email addresses, and settlement bank accounts.
- From the related actions menu of the supplier, select .Administrators with permission to create a supplier change can set up or change a remit-to connection through the related action. This option enables you to configure further details all in 1 place, such as settlement bank accounts.
- As you complete these sections, consider:
Option Description Payment DetailsSelect each accepted payment type for the supplier and supplier remit-to connections.Default Payment TermsWe populate the field from the supplier. You can select to configure different default payment terms for each remit-to connection.On a supplier invoice document, we populate thePayment Termsfield from:- The supplier, when the Remit-To Connection is the default for the supplier.
- The Remit-To Connection, when you select it on the invoice.
- The Remit-To Connection configured as the supplier default, when the purchase order field is blank.
- The Remit-To Connection, when you select the field on the invoice and the purchase orderPayment Termsfield is blank.
For invoices created on theSupplier Invoice Workbenchtask, we populate theDefault Payment Termsfield from the details you enter on the landing page of the task.Always Separate PaymentsYou can select to pay each invoice separately based on the remit-to connection.When you create a new remit-to connection and the Supplier configuration for the field is:- Yes, then the new remit-to connection will be Yes.
- No, then the new remit-to connection will be blank, but you can change it to Yes.
To set up Remit-To Connections to No, ensure that the Supplier configuration for the field is No.When you process a payment for a supplier invoice or invoice adjustment, we update the payment based on the:- Supplier, when the field is blank on your remit-to connection.
- Remit-to connections, when the field has a value of Yes.
Do Not Pay During Bank Account UpdatesYou can select to exclude invoices from a settlement run when changes are in progress in the settlement bank account.When you create a new remit-to connection and the Supplier configuration for the field is:- Yes, then the new remit-to connection will be Yes.
- No, then the new remit-to connection will be blank, but you can change it to Yes.
To set up Remit-To Connections to No, ensure that the Supplier configuration for the field is No.When you select the field for a supplier invoice or invoice adjustment, we update the payment based on the:- Supplier when the field is blank on your remit-to connection.
- Remit-to connections when the field has a value of Yes.
Default CurrencyWe populate theDefault Currencyprompt of remit-to connections based on the:- Default currency of the supplier.
- Accepted currencies of the remit-to bank account.
When the remit-to bank account accepts multiple currencies but not the default currency of the supplier, we leave the prompt empty.The default currency of remit-to connections helps populate the currency on supplier invoices. We populate theCurrencyprompt on supplier invoice documents from:- The supplier, when the remit-to connection is the default on the supplier.
- The remit-to connection, when you select it on the invoice.
- The purchase order.
Default Supplier Payment Memo- SelectDefault Textto use the supplier payment memo on supplier connection payments.
- SelectUse Supplier Connection Memoto use payment memos from the supplier remit-to connection for payments.
Default Originating Country Payment PurposeDefault Receiving Country Payment PurposeDisplay when you enable payment purpose codes.Select default payment purpose codes for Workday to populate on supplier invoices and invoice adjustments. The supplier remit-to connection is available to use for remitting supplier invoices and payments.
- (Optional) To ensure that you can only select currencies that the remit-to bank account accepts on supplier invoices, you can configure a custom validation on supplier invoices. See Steps: Set Up Custom Validations.
- View remit-to connections in theRemit-To Connectionstab on the supplier.
- Use remit-to connections to process and settle supplier invoices.
