Maintain Supplier Contract CLM Assignment Rules

Maintain Supplier Contract CLM Assignment Rules

Security:
Set Up: Supplier Contracts
domain in the Supplier Contracts functional area.
You can create assignment rules to determine the buyer and supplier contract specialist for contracts in Workday that are created from Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).
  1. Access the
Maintain Supplier Contract CLM Assignment Rules
    task.
  2. As you complete the task, consider:
    Option Description
    Resulting Buyer
The buyer that displays in the
    Buyer
    field of the supplier contract.
    You can select:
    • A user from the dropdown menu.
    • The
      Use Submitter as Buyer
option to set the contract submitter from CLM as the default buyer.
    • The
      Skip Rule For Buyer
option to ignore this assignment rule for the
      Buyer
      field.
    Resulting Contract Specialist
The contract specialist that displays in the
    Contract Specialist
    field of the supplier contract.
    You can select:
    • A user from the dropdown menu.
    • The
      Use Submitter as Contract Specialist
option to set the contract submitter from CLM as the default contract specialist.
    • The
      Skip Rule For Contract Specialist
option to ignore this assignment rule for the
      Buyer
      field.
By default, Workday uses the assignment rules you’ve configured to determine the
Buyer
and
Contract Specialist
, found in the
Contract Information
section of supplier contracts originating from CLM.
When there are no matching assignment rules, Workday sets the contract submitter from CLM as both the
Contract Specialist
and
Buyer
fields for the contract in Workday. You can update both fields in Workday, but these fields don't appear in CLM.
