Concept: Configuring Multiple Reporting Models

Concept: Configuring Multiple Reporting Models

You can configure up to 3 different reporting models, each with its own account set and fiscal schedule. This enables you to have different models for different groups in your organization with different dimensionality for financial analysis.
You can:
  • Create or edit up to 3 different reporting models.
  • Provide a name and description for each reporting model.
  • Set a default reporting model which you can use first for new reports you create.
  • Use the Clear Financial Reporting Caches task to clear specific or all reporting model caches.
You can use these tasks and reports to manage your reporting models:
  • Set Up Reporting Model
task to create or edit reporting models.
  • Copy Reporting Model
task to copy reporting models. You can select a model to copy.
  • Delete Reporting Model
task to delete reporting models. You can select a model to delete.
  • View Reporting Model Configuration History
report to track configuration changes to the reporting data models and model members.
  • Manage Reporting Models
    task to:
    • Set your default reporting model.
    • Create, edit, copy, or delete a reporting model.
    • View individual model metrics.
To edit, copy, delete, or set a default reporting model, you must first click
    OK
on the page. Then, use the
    Related Actions
menu next to each reporting data model name.
    The count in the
    Alternate Hierarchies
column for each reporting data model includes the sum of alternate company hierarchies, alternate account hierarchies, and alternate dimension hierarchies that you selected for that reporting model.
