Concept: Trending Reports
Trending reports are similar to matrix reports because you can aggregate, group, and
interactively drill across dimensions of your data. Trending reports, however, require
you to configure a time period as either the column or row grouping. The time period
determines what data Workday includes in the report.
Workday enables you to report on trends in workforce data, such as compensation,
headcount, and span of control so you can:
- Analyze important trends in your workforce directly in Workday without needing a third-party analytical tool.
- Compare data to discern patterns and trends over time.
- Create detail data overrides for your summarization fields.
- Drill and take action on your data.
You can use 1 or more trending reports in composite reporting as subreports unless the
trending report includes text-based count distinct summarization fields.
