Active and Terminated Worker Exclusion in Retro Calculation

Active and Terminated Worker Exclusion in Retro Calculation

You can use the
~Employees~ to Exclude
prompt on the
Run Retro Pay Calculation
task to exclude specific workers from a retro run who cause processing delays or job failures for a retro pay calculation.
Excluding workers from a Retro Pay Calculation run affects subsequent runs differently depending on their employment status:
  • Active Workers: When you exclude an active worker and run Retro Pay Complete, Workday automatically processes that worker again in the next calculation run.
  • Terminated Workers: When you exclude a terminated worker and run Retro Pay Complete, Workday skips them in subsequent calculation runs, unless a new retro event occurs or you explicitly select the option to run retro for that worker.
