Single Touch Payroll Reconciliation by Worker (AUS)

Single Touch Payroll Reconciliation by Worker (AUS)

  • Security:
    Process: STP (Reports) - AUS
domain in the Australia Payroll functional area.
  • Access to the Single Touch Payroll (STP) report that you want to reconcile with.
If you have a variance between payroll results and a Single Touch Payroll (STP) report, you can check the YTD payroll result amounts against the amounts reported to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for individual workers.
  1. Access the
AUS STP Reconciliation by Worker for Reporting Category
    task.
  2. Select an STP result.
  3. Select a reporting category.
  4. To see rows that have no variance between the payroll result and the amount reported to the ATO, select the
    Display Rows with Zero Variance
    check box.
  5. Click OK.
A grid of workers, their current pay group, their pay result lines, and their amounts reported to the ATO.
Pay results for terminated workers are included in the report. If they weren't paid in the current period, their amounts are shown in the
Payroll Result Line (YTD)
column, but not in the
STP Reported (YTD)
column.
If a worker is part of an Australian pay group for some periods in the tax year, and then are transferred to a different pay group, their amounts are not reported with STP, but their pay result amounts are shown in the report and may result in a variance. You can check the
Current Pay Group
field to confirm their pay group.
If there are variances between your payroll results and the amounts reported to the ATO, the STP report may not have been refreshed after a payroll calculation was run with revised inputs. If the payroll calculation is not in the
In Progress
or
Completed
status, recalculate it to ensure any changes are included, and refresh the STP report.
Use the
AUS STP Reconciliation - PCs Not Mapped to a Reporting Category
report to find any earnings or deductions that may be unmapped and so not being correctly reported.
