About Pay Accounting Reallocation
You can use pay accounting reallocations when retroactive costing allocation changes require accounting updates across multiple payroll results or workers.
Workday doesn't process payroll results with existing payroll accounting adjustments in a pay accounting reallocation run. If you rescind the payroll accounting adjustment, you can process that payroll result for reallocation.
Completing Pay Accounting Reallocation

When you complete payroll accounting reallocation for fringe amounts, Workday creates fringe benefit reallocation journals for the affected pay results.
If your fringe percentages change during the reallocation period, Workday calculates the fringe differences by grouping the original or reversed fringe expense lines with the new expense lines by worktag, company, and budget date. If you:
- Don't have recovery costing enabled, the fringe difference lines persist with the workag, company, and budget date they were grouped by.
- Have recovery costing enabled, Workday applies it to the fringe difference lines and aggregates lines that are on the same debit or credit side.
