Example: Create and Distribute a Journey
This example illustrates how you can use a journey to help a new manager onboard into their role.
You might need to take additional steps to enable this feature depending on your organization's subscription service agreement. For more information, see this Community article.
Betty Brown is an employee at your company who has recently been made a manager. You want to create a journey that provides her with a consolidated list of the first tasks she needs to do in her new role.
Security:
Manage: Journey Builders
domain in the Journeys functional area.- Access theJourneys Workspacereport.
- ClickCreate Journey, and then clickBuild Your Journey.
- Enter these values and clickCreate:
Option Description Journey NameNew Manager TasksRecipient TypeWorkerJourney CategoryCreate Journey CategoryJourney Category NameFirst-Time ManagerJourney Category TypeJob Transition - In the journey editor, click the journey header.
- In theEdit Journey Detailssection, enterWelcome New Managerin theJourney Namefield.
- From the left column, drag a step group into the journey.
- In theEdit Step Groupsection, enterNew Manager Tasksin theStep Group Namefield.
- From the left column, drag 2 task steps into theRequired Stepssection of the step group.
- Click the first task in theRequired Stepssection.
- In theEdit Task Stepsection, selectChange My Business Titleon theTaskprompt.
- Click the second task in theRequired Stepssection.
- In theEdit Task Stepsection, selectCreate Goalon theTaskprompt.
- From the left column, drag a task step into theRecommended Stepssection of the step group.
- In theEdit Task Stepsection, selectOrg Charton theTaskprompt.
- ClickCheck for Errors.
- ClickDistributeand enter these values:
