Optimization Engine

Option
Description
More Information
Enable Timeout Override
Allows you to override the default timeout settings for the Optimization Engine so that the engine can complete schedule generation in complex scheduling scenarios. You should only use this feature if you’re experiencing issues with generating schedules.
When you select this check box, you must enter a value in the
Time Out Override (Minutes)
field to increase the amount of time that Workday has to generate a schedule before a timeout occurs.
You can enter a value between 4 minutes and 10 minutes to enable Workday to have additional time to generate a schedule before a timeout (the default timeout is at 3 minutes). The engine will attempt to generate a schedule up to 3 times. Example: If you enter 9, it could take up to 27 minutes.
