Enable AI-Generated Translations in Notification Designer Templates

Set up security for Notification Designer.
You can use generative AI to translate text elements such as button names in a Notification Designer template. If your organization’s subscription service agreement is UMSA, generative AI translation is automatically available for you to enable on the
Edit Tenant Setup - System
 task. If your organization’s subscription service agreement is MSA, you must manually opt-in to the feature before enabling it on the
Edit Tenant Setup - System
 task.
  1. To determine if you need to opt-in to the feature, check your
    Subscription Service Agreement
     value on your Workday Community Profile:
    1. Select your profile avatar on Community.
    2. Select
      Profile
      .
    3. On your profile page, select your organization's name, which is beneath your name and next to your job title.
      • UMSA: Feature is automatically available. You can now access the
        Edit Tenant Setup - System
         task to enable it.
      • MSA: You must manually opt-in.
  2. (MSA Only) To opt in to the feature, sign in to your tenant.
    1. Access the
      Innovation Services Opt-In
       task.
    2. In the Cross Application Services category, enable:
      • Notification Designer
      • Globalization Services
         (Required for generative AI translation)
  3. Access the
    Edit Tenant Setup - System
     task.
  4. In the
    Communication Tools Settings
     section, select the
    Enable Machine Translations for Notification Designer
     check box.
Verify that
Generate Translation
 is the
Default Text
 when you add a language to a Notification Designer Template.
