Set Up Calculation Assistant

     access to the appropriate roles.
Workday's Calculation Assistant leverages AI to provide you with insights into the meaning and structure of calculations.
You can use the Calculation Assistant to:
  • View explanations for custom and Workday-delivered calculations.
  • Understand how an individual calculation is constructed and what it's used for.
The Calculation Assistant uses generative AI to analyze and surface insights about your calculations. Generative AI is experimental and can make mistakes. Workday recommends that you review and validate the explanations.
  1. Access the
    Calculation Assistant Opt-in
     task.
  2. Enable the
    Calculation Assistant Opt-in
     check box.
You can select
Calculation
View AI Calculation Explanation
 from the related actions menu of a calculation. Workday uses AI to explain:
  • What the calculation is used for.
  • The components of the calculation
  • How the result of the calculation is used in Workday.
