Steps: Create Campaign Categories

We plan to retire Campaigns in a future release. Workday recommends that you use Engagement Builder for greater efficiency and visibility into your engagements. See Setup Considerations: Engagement Builder.
  • Identify or create the security group that you want to assign to the segment-based security group.
  • Security:
    Set Up: Campaign Type Categories
    domain in the System functional area.
You can use campaign categories to:
  • Compare campaigns using email analytics.
  • Group campaigns by organizational topic to analyze their effectiveness.
  • Restrict access to campaign types for selected security groups.
  1. Access the
    Create Campaign Category
    task.
    1. Select your security group in the
      Security Groups
      field.
    2. From
      Access to Segments > Create
      , select
      Create Campaign Category Security Segment
      .
    3. From the
      Create Campaign Category Security Segment
      prompt, select the
      Campaign Type
      and select your
      Campaign Category
      .
  2. Edit Domain Security Policies.
    1. Grant the segment-based security group permissions to the
      Administer Campaigns
      domain.
  3. Configure the
    Campaign Event
    business process and security policy in the System functional area.
  4. Activate Pending Security Policy Changes.
