Video: Create a Report to Show Questionnaire Responses

Video Overview

This video shows how to create a custom report you can use to view and analyze data collected through a questionnaire.

Script

In this video, let’s take a look at how to create a custom report to view and analyze the data collected through our questionnaire.
We’ll begin by signing in as the HR Administrator. Start by navigating to the
Create Custom Report
task. Name the report
Parking Slot Responses
, and set the
Report Type
to
Simple
. The most important step is choosing the right
Data Source
; select
Questionnaire Responses
, which contains all the transactional data captured through our form.
Next, move to the
Columns
tab. Add key identifiers like
Respondent
and
Questionnaire
name. Then, in the
Field
prompt, include
Questionnaire Response Context
,
Questionnaire Answers
, and
Questionnaire Response Status
; these store the actual responses submitted by employees.
On the
Filter
tab, add a filter to show only results from the parking slot reservation questionnaire. This ensures your report displays data relevant to parking requests only.
Once everything is set, run the report. The output shows each employee’s request details — including license plate number, zone preference, and EV charging requirement. If needed, you can easily export the report to Excel for further analysis outside Workday.
And that’s it! We’ve successfully used a Workday questionnaire to capture essential data and created a custom report that gives the facilities team real-time insights for managing parking slot requests. Hope you found this helpful!
