Concept: Relaunching Orchestrations
You can manually relaunch an orchestration that has already been initiated or completed if you need to adjust parameters or force an execution that was previously blocked.
Workday makes the
Relaunch
option available on the event page when an orchestration status changes from Queued for Launch
to In Progress
. This applies to events with these statuses:
- Canceled
- Rescinded
- Corrected
- Denied

When you relaunch an orchestration, Workday executes the workflow without re-evaluating any configured condition rules for the orchestration. You can force the initiation of an orchestration even if the initial business criteria weren’t met. During the relaunch process, you can access the
Relaunch Orchestration
task to modify launch parameters before the workflow begins.
