Concept: Prevent Worker Borrowing in Organizations Without a Published Schedule

Concept: Prevent Worker Borrowing in Organizations Without a Published Schedule

You can prevent managers from borrowing workers into organizations that don’t have published schedules to help reduce scheduling conflicts.
When you enable the
Prevent managers from borrowing workers in organizations without a published schedule
check box on a borrow worker rule set, managers creating or editing a shift on the
Schedule Workers
report only see those workers who meet all qualifications including that the borrowing organizations have a published schedule for the day of the shift.
If a worker has positions across multiple organizations, they are included in the search results only if at least 1 of their organizations has a published schedule.

Example: Worker has Positions Across Multiple Organizations

John can work in these 2 home organizations:
  • HR Talent - USA
  • HR Talent - CAN
The
HR Talent - USA
organization has a published schedule, but
HR Talent - CAN
doesn’t have one.
You configure the borrow worker rule set for
HR Planning - USA
organization to borrow workers from
HR Talent - USA
, and
HR Planning - CAN
to borrow workers from
HR Talent - CAN
.
You also select the
Prevent managers from borrowing workers in organizations without a published schedule
check box on the borrow worker rule sets. This enables managers to only borrow a worker if that worker's organization has a published schedule. The manager from
HR Planning - USA
can borrow John from H
R Talent - USA
, but the manager from
HR Planning - CAN
can’t borrow John from
HR Talent - CAN
.
