Mass Generate Metric Forecast

You can schedule your own forecast generation so that it best aligns with the timing of your business. You can also specify the scheduling organizations and metrics you want to forecast, and how far in advance you want your forecasts to be generated.
  1. Access the
    Mass Generate Metric Forecast
     task.
  2. As you complete the
    Generate Metric Forecast
     tab, consider:
    Option
    Description
    Scheduling Organization
    The scheduling organizations to generate forecasts for.
    Labor Optimization Metrics
    The metrics to generate forecasts for.
    Days in the Future
    The first day of the forecast, in number of days from the time the job runs.
    Example: If you run the job on December 1 and enter 10 here, the first day of Forecast is for December 11.
    Forecast Period Length in Days
    The number of additional days to forecast after the first day of the forecast.
    Example: If you enter 7 here, the job generates forecasts for December 11-December 17.
    Type of Forecast
    ML Generated
    : Workday generates your forecast based on historical data.
    Use Uploaded Data as Forecast:
     Use your own historic or future data as a forecast, rather than using Workday’s model.
  3. Enter details on the
    Schedule
     tab to set a time for Workday to generate your forecasts.
