Mass Generate Earned Hours

Mass Generate Earned Hours

Security:
Set Up: Mass Generate Earned Hours
in the Labor Optimization functional area.
You can use the
Mass Generate Earned Hours for Organizations
task to calculate earned hours for scheduling organizations (SO) over past periods. Earned hours represent the labor demand hours that Workday would have calculated if the forecasted metric performance had been 100% accurate.
Workday calculates earned hours by running your historical actuals through labor mapping rules. This process mirrors labor demand calculations but looks backward to assess the past instead of looking forward to anticipate the future. This feature enables you to evaluate the efficiency of your labor mapping rules to make timely adjustments to labor demand that optimize coverage and minimize costs.
We recommend that you generate earned hours after you have most or all of the metrics data for a location. Re-running the job only updates it based on your current numbers so it’s low-risk to run this job multiple times.
