Steps: Add Location Hierarchy Facets to Find Jobs
You can configure the
Find Jobs
report that displays on external and
internal career sites to include 2 additional location hierarchy subtype facets.Example: You might want to see job postings according to these location hierarchy subtypes:
- Geographic region
- Product line
There's no limit on the location hierarchy subtypes you can configure. You can also configure
different types for different external career sites.
- Access theMaintain Organization Subtypestask.Create a new organization subtype. Example:
- Organization Subtype Name: Product
- Organization Type(s): Location Hierarchy
Security:Set Up: OrganizationandCommittee Definition: Set Updomains in the Organizations and Roles functional area. - Associate a location hierarchy with the organization subtype. Example:
- Name: Electronic Games
- Subtype: Product
- From the related actions menu of the location hierarchy, select .Associate locations to the location hierarchy. To see facet results on theFind Jobsreport after completing this setup, you must have at least 1 job posting associated with the locations mapped to this location hierarchy.Security:Manage: Organization Edit and Reorganization Actiondomain in the Organizations and Roles functional area.
- Access theEdit Internal Career Sitetask.To use the location hierarchy as a facet onFind Jobs, select it on theLocation Hierarchy Subtype 1orLocation Hierarchy Subtype 2prompt. Example:Location Hierarchy Subtype 1: Product.For immediate results, we recommend testing new facets using your internal career site.Security:Set Up: Career Sitesdomain in the Recruiting functional area.
- Access theEdit Internal Career Site for Non-Workerstask.To use location hierarchy as a facet onFind Jobs, select it on theLocation Hierarchy Subtype 1orLocation Hierarchy Subtype 2prompt for a specific type of internal career site for nonworkers. Example:Location Hierarchy Subtype 1: Country.Security:Set Up: Career Sitesin the Recruiting functional area.
- Copy theFind Jobsstandard report.
- Click theAdvancedprofile group.
- In theFacet Optionssection, addLocation Hierarchy 1as aFacet Filter.
- Add aLabel Override. Example: Product Area
- Add or remove other facet fields as needed.
- Run the report.
- Repeat these steps if you want to add additional location hierarchy facets on the copy of your internalFind Jobsreport.

- Copy theFind Jobs Template for External Career Sitesstandard report.
- In theSearch Resultstab, don't change anything.
- In theShareprofile group, select theShare with all authorized usersoption in theReport Definition Sharing Optionssection.
- In theFacet Optionssection of theAdvancedtab:
- Select theEnable As Web Servicecheck box.
- Add theLocation Hierarchy 1orLocation Hierarchy 2fields in theFacet Filtersgrid and enter aLabel Override.

- (Optional) Update theFind Jobsreport for internal career sites.
- Access theEdit Internal Career Sitetask and completeLocation Hierarchy Subtype 1or2.
- Copy theFind Jobsreport.

report used on the external career site reflects the
changes you made.
