Create Selection Rules for Benefit Jobs

You can create condition rules that Workday uses to decide which jobs determine an employee's benefit eligibility.
  1. Access
    Create Benefit Job Selection Rule
    .
  2. As you create the rule, consider:
    Option Description
    And/Or
    Select the logic you want to apply between the conditions of the rule.
    • For
      And
      logic, a rule condition must always resolve to true for the rule to apply.
    • For
      Or
      logic, a rule condition requires that at least one
      or
      rule condition resolves to true for the rule to apply.
    Only report fields marked with
    Benefit Jobs
    combine data across benefit jobs.

    If you want to group one or more logical statements together, use the left-hand parentheses to indicate the beginning of the grouping.
    Source External Field or Condition Rule
    You can select:
    • A report field.
    • An existing condition rule.
    Relational Operator
    The type of report field or subrule determines available options.
    Comparison Type
    Specify whether the source is compared to another field or to a value that you enter in the
    Comparison Value
    column.
    Comparison Value
    Select a comparison field or enter the value that is compared to the source.

    If you want to close the grouping of one or more logical statements, select the right-hand parentheses.
