Set Up Security and Endpoints for External Benefit Program Partners

You can enable benefits program partners to create and import program cards for your employees. You can use the
Maintain Benefit Programs
task to specify which employees see the cards and where they display. Cards can have up to 3 lines of text and an image. Workday provides a web service that enables the benefits program partners to build a certified integration. We provide a security domain specifically for the program partner. This task describes the steps that the benefits administrator performs to enable the benefit program partner to create and import the programs.
- Configure security for benefits program partners.
- Create the integration system user account, which enables you to set up a Workday account for software partners.
- SelectDo Not Allow UI Sessionsto restrict the account for integrations only.
- Select theSecurity Profile-related action from the new Workday account.
- SelectAssign Integrations System Security Groups.
- Add the account to an existing or new integration security group, which must be unconstrained.
- Edit theManage: Benefit Program Software Partnerdomain security policy and give the relevant security groups view or change access.
- (Optional) Include the account on theManage Authentication Policiesreport.
- Access and run theActivate Pending Security Policy Changestask.
- Provide an endpoint URL to the benefit program partner:
- Sign into the tenant for your endpoint.
- Run thePublic Web Servicesreport and locate theBenefits Partner Program Integrationsweb service for benefit program cards. For cards that display on the on theWalletpage of theBenefits and Pay Hub, locate these web services:Put_Worker_Benefit_and_Wellbeing_Wallet_Cards,Benefit_Provider_Reference, andCoverage_Type_Reference.
- From related actions of the web service, select .
- Go to the end of the file and locate this line, where [link] is the WSDL ID that you provide.<soapbind:address location =“[link]”>
- Send the end point to the benefits program partner.
