Review Percent Complete Calculations for Revenue Recognition

Percent complete calculations enable you to recognize revenue on a project as it progresses. You can approve your percent complete revenue recognition before generating revenue installments.
- Access theReview Percent Complete for Revenuetask.
- Select values for the prompts to filter your search.You can select multiple customers, projects, or a project hierarchy to review and edit transactions together. Workday groups the contract lines by project into 1 row. Select theShow 100% Completecheck box to show only percent complete transactions that are 100% complete at the project or contract line level.

- Select the rows that you want to change the revenue amounts for.When a row has more than 1 contract line, click the number in theContract Linescolumn to edit revenue amounts for individual contract lines.
- Complete the task:
Option Description Actual Percent CompleteWorkday calculates this value using either:- TheActual Costdivided by theEstimated Costfor theCostpercent complete method.
- TheCumulative Hours Workeddivided by theEstimated Hours at Completefor theHourspercent complete method. You can override this calculation by manually entering a new estimated hours value.
Workday doesn't display percent complete projects when:- TheActual Percent Completeis 100.00% and you didn't select theShow 100% Completecheck box.
- You schedule all the installments.
When you change a 100% complete line, Workday automatically updates your revenue installment.Base CurrencyThe base currency for theEstimated CostandActual Costcolumns, representing the project company currency.Contract Currency (previously named Currency)The currency for the customer contract.Cumulative Revenue to DateWorkday multiplies theActual Percent Completeby theContract Value.Current Revenue AmountWorkday calculates the difference between theCumulative Revenue to Dateand theCumulative Revenue Recognized to Datevalues.
