Example: Set Up the Journal Lines by Allocation Report
This example illustrates how to set up a custom report to identify which allocations produce the most result lines.
When you submit the
Run Mass Finalize for Allocations
task, the process takes longer than usual. The reduced performance might be a result of 1 or more allocations exceeding the Workday-recommended limit of 50,000 result lines. You create a custom report to list allocations by the number of result lines so that you can split them if necessary.- Security: These domains in the System functional area:

You can run your
Journal Lines by Allocation
custom report by company or company hierarchy. The report displays:- Allocation definitions for each company.
- Result line counts.
- Translated debit and credit amounts.
- Totals for each company and allocation definition.
Update your allocation definitions to split any allocations that produce more than 50,000 result lines.
