The Receipt Scanning for Expenses service sends a request from Workday to the Google Cloud Platform. This isn’t a request from your tenant or you as an individual user. Google doesn’t receive any information about the customer or user who submitted the receipt for scanning.
The receipt data never leaves the Workday environment. The Google API reads the receipt, but doesn't transmit receipt data to Google. The Workday Security and Privacy, Ethics, and Compliance (PEC) teams have extensively reviewed the technical design for this service. After we completed the solution development, these teams undertook an additional review. The purpose of this review was to ensure that the actual solution complied with the approved designs and complies with Workday’s high standards for customer data privacy and security.
